Futuristic techno characterised by the precise mix of driving basslines, dark grooves and a purely hypnotic sound.
Born in Milan in 1991, Stiv Hey found his passion through the classic Italian techno sound heard whilst attending clubs in his home town. Having decided this was where his future lay, he then spent the next two years honing his production skills by studying music theory, audio engineering and sound design, the results of which are clear to hear on his futuristic releases.
Having released his first tracks in 2012 which received unanimous support from the biggest DJs in his genre: Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Marco Carola just to name a few, Stiv spent 2013 traveling Europe attending festivals, parties and had his first experience in Ibiza.
Thanks to his travels he began to understand the needs of the dance-floor, the wants of clubbers as well as meeting a lot of his DJ heroes.
In 2014 Stiv returned to his studio to focus on producing more quality tracks based on his experiences and the knowledge he had learned. And he signed two Ep’s on Dubfire’s SCI+TEC and one on the German Trapez Recordings.
With a barrage of fresh new material coming out on a near-weekly basis Stiv took the decision to spend his first season in Ibiza in summer 2014. In the heart of the international electronic music community his networked expanded rapidly.
In the first part of 2015 he made his first debut in the United States playing at the Miami Music Conference as well as in other important venues in Europe, like Egg Club and Electric Brixton in London, Brancaleone in Rome, Green Fest in Skopje and Yalta Club in Sofia. He also made his first appearance in Brazil with a memorable performance at Techno for Friends Festival facing an audience of 5 000 people.
To be mentioned the sold out Halloween event at Plazma Club in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) which resulted in Stiv being considered a special guest at the club and obtaining a large number of followers. The year ended with his second tour in India. After being in three different cities he then got to Pune SCI+TEC Stage of EDC Festival where he performed alongside Dubfire.
2016 isn’t over however it is possible to declare that this is the year in which this young producer has joined the circle of international artists with his intense tour: more than 60 events during the first six months of the year. The first part of the year is marked by his recurring visits in Romania where he has performed in the main cities and was met with a large public approval.
In 2016 even Berlin, which many artists consider the final destination as much as Ibiza, opens his door to Stiv who performed as special guest in different events at AVA club. And also Electrofallas Festival in Valencia where Stiv smashed the main stage just before John Digweed and Paul Ritch with an incredibile performance. Moreover his tour in Japan and Sri Lanka resulted in Dubfire’s reconfirmation for SCI+TEC Showcase at the CityHall in Barcelona during the Sonar Week.
